Experience
Over 25 years accounting experience including eleven years with Coopers & Lybrand with particular emphasis on corporate advisory, due diligence and forensic services including litigation support, valuations and assessment of consequential loss.
Significant roles include:
- Valuations of private businesses and securities (various purposes include litigation support, family law matters, sale or purchase of business, statutory matters including taxation).
- Primelife Managed Investment Schemes – independent investigations on behalf of Federal Court.
- Independent expert witness evidence to the Victorian gaming authority in respect of the feasibility of a proposed gaming and entertainment venue.
- Sale of assets pursuant to formal administration – e.g. headed up the Expression Of Interest process for the Court Appointed Receiver in the matter of ABC2 Group regarding the sale of 262 childcare centres.
Specialised expertise - Valuations
Commercial valuation matters
- Valuing minority shareholding (23% interest) in a private company involved in the finance industry.
- Under instructions from the board of directors of premium brand consulting practice, determined business value to facilitate negotiations with a potential equity investor.
- Valuing a business acquired by the plaintiff to proceedings who alleged that the defendant (vendor) misrepresented the financial performance of the business purchased by from the defendant.
- Advisory role in assisting a majority shareholder prepare its submission to an independent expert appointed by the Federal Court (as to valuation of business and equity therein resulting from shareholders dispute).
- Valuation of business and economic loss resulting from compulsory acquisition of property by Vic Roads.
- Valuation of well known cosmetics brand and associated trademarks for acquisition purposes.
- Valuation of business for CGT purposes including eligibility for small business concessions.
Family law valuation matters
- Valuing the equity of a business in the meat processing industry as part of determination of matrimonial assets in divorce proceedings.
- Valuing electrical engineering company for family law proceedings and property settlement purposes.

- Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne).
- Institute of Chartered Accountants Member ID 72539 (25 year membership).
