Background

Paul began his insolvency and corporate advisory career in 1985 and
since then has spent twelve (12) years working for Coopers & Lybrand,
initially in the UK and then in Australia.

In 1997 he moved to commerce where he has led the finance and legal functions of New South Wales Rugby Union, the Australian subsidiary of a multi-national marketing business and most recently was Group CFO of an international information technology group.

Recent economic conditions have attracted Paul back to the profession. 

Industry Experience and Specialised Expertise

Paul has been involved in all forms of corporate insolvency, including receiverships, liquidations, voluntary administrations, corporate turnarounds, due diligence, asset disposal programs, credit reviews and general corporate restructuring and advice.

He has exposure to a wide range of industry sectors, managing businesses of differing types and sizes during his career. Interesting assignments have included:

• Retail (Motor Dealerships, Fuel, Shopping Centres, Fashion Chains,
  Franchising, Speciality Stores);
• Hospitality & Leisure (Hotels, Pubs, Resorts and Tourist Attractions);
• Import & Distribution (Fashion, Auto-parts and Leisure Goods);
• Manufacturing (Therapeutic Goods & Food); and
• Construction.
