Background and signifcant appointments

After spending 5 years in insolvency and recovery in the early 1990’s Brett then spent 5 years in the credit recovery and credit lending divisions with both the CBA and St George Corporate Bank.

In 2000 Brett joined GE Capital where he was appointed executive director of their Commercial Lending services division.

In late 2003 until the end of 2008 he moved to commerce as the COO and CFO of a major Australian Textiles manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of apparel, furnishing and technical textile products.

Industry Experience and Specialised Expertise

Brett’s mix of traditional recovery, banking and commercial experience has provided him with an ability to investigate, review and clearly identify key issues and drivers from each stakeholders perspective.

Whilst Brett has signifcant experience in both operations and the financial requirements to run businesses his key focus is to assist financial institutions, shareholders and businesses develop strategies to maximize the current and future position, or in situations of severe financial distress, provide guidance on restructuring options through either Receivership or formal Administrations.

The above is achieved by not just concentrating on historic, current and future fnancial and funding requirements but also by understanding the underlying fundamentals of each business and key performance indicators.

Brett has had wide exposure to a variety of industry sectors as well as state and federal governments particularly in the areas of manufacturing, trade, industrial relations, water and the environment and has represented the manufacturing sector on various Senate Committee reviews.

Qualifcations and Memberships

  • Bachelor of Economics (Accg)
  • Green Belt in Six Sigma Quality.
