Allan is a Director in PPB’s Victorian office.

Background and significant appointments

Prior to joining PPB, Allan worked for KPMG in Edinburgh and Melbourne.

Allan has over 12 years of experience undertaking business restructuring, turnaround and corporate recovery assignments throughout the UK, Europe and Australia.

The abovementioned assignments have included preparing Investigating Accountant Reports, undertaking Pre-Lending Reviews, formulating and implementing workout, turnaround and asset divestment strategies, advising on recapitalisation and refinancing and managing formal insolvency appointments.

Industry experience and specialised expertise

Allan has specific experience in industries such as Property (including property development, construction funding and real estate investment trusts) and Aged Care. 

Examples of Allan’s recent assignments include:

• advisor to a leading Australian bank with exposure of over $500m to a listed company specialising in property development and funds management;
• undertaking several investigating accountant reports, pre-lending reviews and ongoing monitoring engagements on Aged Care providers, for leading Australian banks and for borrowers;
• undertaking a senior role in the administration, restructuring and / or re-listing of public companies; and
• undertaking senior roles in the management, operation and sale of several high profile commercial and leisure property assets, on behalf of numerous Australian and overseas-based lenders.
